- good news: French Socialists will likely have a grip on power. They are geopolitically moderate, their European Parliament leader

- bad news: we can expect months of domestic political fights which will exhaust France as important European power and will force

into foreign policy concessions, weakening the already weak French position in light of possible Trump victory and expectable pressure on Ukraine to partially capitulate
- really bad news: if French far-left (which is part of election-winning left coalition) would have grip on governmental power, would be really bad. French far-left adores Russia, does not consider Ukraine to really be a country and hates NATO and the United States
